Husband bought it for his wife 3 weeks ago. Already traded it in on an all black errything 2020 LX570 Inspiration that had just been delivered to the dealer when I arrived. Also present was this yellow, white leather, yellow stitching LC500. Fits the car better than I would have thought.

Also, the reason I was at the Lexus dealer. Apparently their phones were down yesterday when I called to see if they would honor their service bulletin on my wife’s RX3 50 dash which has cracked and become sticky, a known issue for late 2000s/early 2010 Lexus(even my ISF dash and all four door panels were replaced). Dealer said expired , call Lexus, maybe they can help. Lexus said cant help. Called used lot at dealer where car was bought and asked why it was not done when it was sold. Waiting to hear back. The saga begins.

I have a 05 GX470. When I bought the car from previous owner, dashboard was fine. I received the bulletin saying it was a lifetime offer so I figured I’d bank it... just in case. Eventually some years later, dashboard did crack. Of course, I coudlnt find the letter I was saving. Went to my dealer. They told me same thing, but I think they contacted lexus on my behalf. Ended up getting the dashboard replaced. They were not super happy to do all that work for free tho

The dealer was more than happy to fix my dash and door panels on the ISF. Id didn’t even know about the bulletin , they mentioned it and sent pictures to Lexus when I took it in to ge t the factory cla ymores replaced.

It’s very strange they would have gotten the CA in the first place. If you end up in a brand new Lexus SUV, I have no idea why you were looking at used Ferrari vert’s in the first place. Maybe the last kid just went to school and wanted a convertible. Then hated everything about driving a sports car. Went back to what she is used to: the most expensive SUV on the Lexus lot.

On one hand, don’t buy a car for someone if you have no idea whether they’ll like it or not. On the other hand, how ungrateful can a person be?

I bet it is. I drove a new (at the time) GX 460 and it was impressive. I can imagine the LX is even better.

I drove the GX back in like, 2010, I think. I just remember ever input being smooth and every surface being nice.

I can totally see why dealers do not want to do that dash replacement though. Took our GX in a few months ago and I came back with the entire center console misaligned during reinstallation and they didn’t tell me they cracked one of the airvent wood trim pieces (and completely destroyed another one that they had to order a replacement for .)

It’s crazy they haven’t done a full redesign in that amount of time.

My time behind the wheel was very limited. I basically DD’d after my friend’s cousin’s bougie ass HS graduation banquet. So basically about 5 miles from ocean prime in Tampa back to their house. I think everyone drove separately, then got really turned up, and scrambled to find enough sober people to drive. It was a shit show, but it was fun haha

I think I raged until 26. I took about two years off from drinking after college (a beer or cocktail every once in a while), then kinda started going hard on the weekends somewhat frequently. Now (29), I usually have to mentally prepare to go out other than like, happy hour.

I pulled a 4 loko fueled all nighter in DT nashville once. It was a great time (except for the drive back to Memphis), but those days are mostly gone. I’ve had two this year, but one was a bachelor party and the other was just peer pressure and being in SLO. If I’m at home (or at the local bars) I’m rarely awake past midnight. The nights at home with nicer whiskey than at a bar, no lines, music from my own queue, etc, are nice.
